Killbot #1

Killbot #1 is one half of a pair of hulking, dim-witted robotic enforcers glimpsed doing violent, menial dirty work for hire. He speaks in a flat, dopey drawl, follows orders without much thought, and seems mostly interested in getting through the job and grabbing a drink afterward.

The joke is entirely in the mismatch between his function and his affect: a killing machine voiced with the bored, laid-back cadence of a guy clocking out of a shift job. David Herman plays him utterly unbothered by the mayhem, which is what makes the character's brief, deadpan appearances land as pure comic surprise rather than menace.
