Kevin Richardson (Teen)

Kevin is fourteen, one of a group of boys swept up by police after a woman is attacked in Central Park. He is soft-spoken, eager to please, and instinctively trusting of authority — a boy who wants to go home and believes cooperating is the way to get there.

Asante Blackk plays Kevin's fear as something almost polite, a child's instinct to be good and helpful curdling into confusion as the adults around him refuse to let that instinct save him. The performance never asks for pity outright; it just shows a kid trying to do the right thing inside a room built to punish that trust.
