Kevin Rayburn

Kevin is the Rayburn sibling who never left the family's shadow, running a marina in the Florida Keys with a temper that outpaces his patience. Married to Belle, tangled in old grudges, he wants to be taken seriously by his siblings and seems perpetually one bad moment from proving he can't be.

Norbert Leo Butz plays Kevin's volatility as something almost childlike—wounded pride dressed up as toughness—so his outbursts feel less menacing than sad. The writing keeps him underestimated by his own family, and Butz makes that underestimation the character's whole tragic comedy, sympathetic even when he's clearly his own worst enemy.
