Kermit the Frog

Kermit is the harried stage manager trying to hold together a vaudeville house full of egomaniacs, pig divas, exploding chickens, and a heckling balcony. He wants the show to go on, mostly intact, and greets each fresh catastrophe with a weary sigh and a game smile before diving back in to fix it.

He's the straight man in a building full of chaos, which sounds thankless but is the whole trick: Henson plays him with such genuine warmth and exasperated patience that his frazzled normalcy becomes the funniest, most human thing onstage. You root for him precisely because he never asked to be the reasonable one.
