Kento Nanami

Nanami is a grade 1 sorcerer who once quit the profession entirely to work an ordinary office job, only to return when he found civilian life emptier than he expected. He approaches cursed spirits with the same weary, methodical professionalism he'd bring to any workday, measuring threats with a folding ruler and a strict refusal to work past six.

The joke is right there in the premise — a battle-hardened exorcist who talks about fighting curses like it's overtime he never wanted — and Kenjiro Tsuda plays it completely straight, which is exactly why it lands. Underneath the deadpan is real moral seriousness: his blunt, unsentimental mentorship of Itadori gives the show one of its steadiest, most quietly moving relationships.
