Character
Kendall Roy
Kendall Roy in Succession (2018), played by Jeremy Strong.
Kendall arrives fizzing with plans, jargon, and nervous swagger — a media heir convinced he's finally ready to take the reins of his father's empire. He raps along to hip-hop in the car, name-drops disruption strategy in meetings, and performs confidence he doesn't quite feel, desperate for Logan's approval and terrified of never getting it.
Jeremy Strong plays flop-sweat ambition like a physical ailment, every swagger visibly costing Kendall something. The writing keeps undercutting his power plays with humiliation, and Strong never lets you settle into either pity or contempt — you're stuck, uncomfortably, rooting for a man who might be his own worst enemy.
Kendall Logan Roy is one of the two main protagonists (alongside his father Logan Roy) of the series as the heir-apparent, second-eldest son of Logan Roy. He is portrayed by Jeremy Strong.
