Ken Miller

Ken Miller drifts through McKinley High with the freaks, guitar case in hand and a deadpan remark for every occasion. He plays bass in the group's band, dates Amy, and mostly seems bored by the whole enterprise of high school — sarcasm his default setting, effort his least favorite activity.

Seth Rogen, barely older than a teenager himself, plays Ken as pure comic deflation: every line lands flat and dry, which makes the rare moments he actually cares about something hit harder by contrast. The writing trusts him to do a lot with very little, and he does.
