Kelly Kapoor

Kelly works customer service at Dunder Mifflin Scranton, though her attention is rarely on the job. She is loud, boy-crazy, obsessed with celebrity gossip and pop culture, and treats every workplace moment as a chance to talk about her feelings, usually about Ryan. Vain, funny, and utterly unfiltered, she wants attention and romance more than she wants competence.

Mindy Kaling (also a writer on the show) gives Kelly a motormouth energy that turns thin material into some of the sharpest asides in the series — her rants come from nowhere and land like commentary from the one person paying attention to nothing important and everything cultural. She's shallow by design, but never boring.
