Kelly arrives as part of a small band of survivors falling in with the Alexandria and Hilltop communities, sister to Connie and fiercely protective of her. Quiet and watchful at first, she keeps close to her sister's side, translating and shielding her from the world's dangers as they try to find safe footing among strangers.

Angel Theory plays Kelly with a coiled, watchful loyalty that reads before she says a word — the sibling bond with Connie does real narrative work instead of just being backstory. As the character gets room to grow beyond protector, Theory lets flickers of exhaustion and independence show through the devotion, making her feel lived-in rather than decorative.
