Kelly

Kelly is a runner on Big Brother, low in the pecking order and hungry to climb it. She's sharp-tongued, ambitious, and a little contemptuous of the vapid machine she works for, even as she wants a piece of it. When the outside world starts falling apart, she's stuck inside the compound with everyone else.

Jaime Winstone plays her with a mouthy, self-interested edge that never quite curdles into unlikeability — you believe she'd claw her way up a TV production ladder, and you believe she'd claw her way out of a building full of the infected. The satire of reality-TV ambition gives her bite before the horror gives her stakes.
