Kei Tsukishima

Tall, sardonic, and openly unimpressed by volleyball's more earnest devotees, Tsukishima joins Karasuno mostly because he's good at blocking and it beats other options. He mocks his teammates' intensity, needles Hinata and Kageyama with cool precision, and holds himself apart from the sport's romance, insisting he's only doing the minimum required.

The show is stuffed with characters who love volleyball without reservation, so Tsukishima's detachment gives it friction it badly needs. Uchiyama plays the boredom as armor rather than fact, letting small cracks show through the drawl, and the slow, believable erosion of his indifference becomes one of the series' quieter, better-earned pleasures.
