Karl Muller

Karl Muller is one of Waystar Royco's senior executives, a fixture of Logan Roy's boardroom for decades. He speaks in dry one-liners, hedges every position, and seems less interested in loyalty than in remaining comfortably employed. Alongside Frank, he forms a weary Greek chorus to the family's chaos, watching it all with amused detachment.

David Rasche plays him as a man who has stopped being surprised by anything, which makes his deadpan asides some of the show's funniest lines. The writing uses Karl as institutional memory and comic relief at once, a corporate lifer whose self-preservation instincts are so casual they become their own kind of dark comedy.
