Kahn is Hank's new next-door neighbor, an engineer who considers himself several rungs above the rest of Arlen. He's quick to correct people's assumptions, quicker to remind everyone of his degrees and his salary, and openly baffled by why anyone would choose lawn care over ambition. Married to the equally sharp-tongued Minh, he treats the cul-de-sac like beneath him.

Toby Huss plays Kahn's snobbery with such clipped, needling precision that the insults land as comedy rather than cruelty — 'dirty redneck' becomes a running joke rather than a slur because the show keeps undercutting his superiority with his own insecurities. He's a striver whose contempt for his neighbors barely masks how badly he wants their approval.
