Juliette "Julie" Andromeda Mao

Julie Mao is the daughter of a shipping magnate who has traded a life of privilege for the radical politics of the Belt. A skilled racing pilot, she has thrown in with an OPA-aligned crew aboard the ice hauler Scopuli, choosing conviction over comfort and cutting herself off from the family that wants her back.

She is the show's central mystery long before we understand why, a rich girl who genuinely believes in the Belters' cause rather than slumming in it. Florence Faivre gives her a flinty, unglamorous toughness in flashback and recording alike, so the search for her feels like searching for a real person, not a plot device.
