Judd Crawford

Judd Crawford runs the Tulsa Police Department, where masked cops carry legal weight and old wounds still bleed. He's avuncular and quick with a joke, a beloved chief who seems to have everyone's respect, including Angela Abar's. He talks like a good old boy who's made his peace with a violent, complicated town.

Don Johnson plays warmth so easily that you relax into it, which is exactly the trap. Watchmen uses Judd's folksy charm as camouflage, letting small, odd details accumulate under his geniality until the character becomes a puzzle about what a comfortable authority figure might be quietly hiding.
