Josh Herbert

Josh Herbert is one of the boys stranded as part of the mysterious island experiment on The Wilds, thrown together with strangers his age and forced to figure out survival and social order at once. He is eager to be liked, quick to insert himself into the group's dynamics, and visibly anxious about where he fits among louder, more dominant personalities.

Nicholas Coombe plays him with a nervous, people-pleasing energy that makes him easy to read and easy to underestimate, which the show uses well against the bigger personalities around him. He's the kind of character whose eagerness to belong says more about the group's pecking order than any speech could, and Coombe never overplays it.
