Joplin is part of the production crew keeping Big Brother running, a sardonic presence in the gallery who watches the housemates' antics with weary detachment. He's more interested in getting through the shift than in the drama on screen, trading dry asides with colleagues while eviction night chaos builds outside the studio walls.

Kevin Eldon brings his gift for deadpan disdain to a role that exists mostly to needle the absurdity of reality television before the real horror arrives. Joplin's flat, unbothered cynicism is the show's dark joke made flesh — a man too jaded to notice the world ending until it's practically in the room.
