John Ross

John Ross is Lori's husband and part of the tight, ordinary orbit around Mare — a family man in a small Pennsylvania town, easy in his own kitchen, present at dinners and ballgames, the kind of steady, unremarkable presence you don't look at twice. He seems settled, decent, background noise in someone else's drama.

Joe Tippett plays him with such unforced normalcy that the character becomes a study in how easily ordinariness can be mistaken for innocence. The writing withholds judgment entirely, letting him move through scenes as just another husband and father, which is precisely what makes the character worth watching closely rather than past.
