Joey Mousepad turns up on the fringes of Futurama's world as one of the show's many quick, gruff bit players — a small-time operator with a tough-guy voice and a name that promises trouble. He talks fast, acts like he's got an angle, and disappears into the background noise of New New York almost as soon as he arrives.
John DiMaggio can make a single scene sing with nothing but a growl and a wisecrack, and Joey Mousepad is a fine example of his gift for instant, fully-formed side characters. The name alone is a joke; the voice sells it. It's a small pleasure, but a genuine one.
Joey Mousepad is one of the recurring antagonists in Futurama. He is a member of the Robot Mafia and works for Donbot. His personality can be described as being friendlier than Francis X. Clampazzo ("Clamps"), as he only attacked people when ordered to and he even restrained Clamps when he threatened to clamp a waitress. A dumb jock archetype, Joey is the muscle of the Mafia, but the least intelligent.
