JJ Parker

JJ Parker is a quarterback at Beverly Hills High, part of the football team Spencer James joins as an outsider. Confident and established in his world, he treats his position and his teammates' loyalty as things he's entitled to, and he isn't thrilled to share the spotlight with the new kid from South Crenshaw.

Hunter Clowdus plays the entitled incumbent without making him a cartoon villain — there's real insecurity under the swagger, a kid who's always been the guy and doesn't know how to not be. That tension between bravado and fear of replacement gives the show's central rivalry actual stakes instead of just teenage posturing.
