Jim Rettelsdorf

Jim Rettelsdorf is a straight-laced business associate drawn into the Byrdes' orbit, a partner whose job is to keep things clean and legal. He is fussy, procedural, and visibly uneasy around the family's more improvisational instincts, the kind of man who wants contracts and paperwork to mean what they say.

Damian Young plays him as a man perpetually one step behind the danger he's in, and that gap between his by-the-book instincts and the world he's stepped into is where the character lives. He's a small, precise performance of anxiety curdling into complicity, useful as a measure of how far the Byrdes' normal has drifted.
