Jessica Brody

Jessica Brody is a Marine's wife who has spent eight years believing herself a widow, raising two children and quietly rebuilding a life. When her husband Nicholas returns from presumed death overseas, she is thrust back into a marriage with a man she no longer entirely knows, trying to hold her family together through the shock.

Baccarin plays Jessica's confusion and guilt without melodrama, letting small hesitations and averted eyes carry the weight of a marriage under impossible strain. The show could easily sideline her as the dutiful wife, but she's written with real conflicting loyalties, making her homefront scenes feel as tense as any interrogation.
