Jerry is part of the backstage machinery at the New Burbage Festival, one of the steady hands who keep a chaotic theatre company actually running. He is practical, unglamorous, and unbothered by the egos and dramas swirling around him, more interested in getting the show up than in anyone's tantrum.

Oliver Dennis plays him with a dry, unhurried calm that makes him a reliable comic ballast whenever the actors and directors around him spiral into crisis. He never competes for the spotlight, which is exactly why he's such a pleasure: the show needs someone sane, and he supplies it without ever seeming to try.
