Jeffrey "Jeff" Barnes

Jeff Barnes works the Buy More's Nerd Herd desk, though work is a loose description of what he does there. Perpetually rumpled, often drunk before noon, and fixated on strange obsessions from vending machine snacks to spying on coworkers, he drifts through the store as comic wallpaper with his partner in mischief, Lester.

Scott Krinsky commits fully to Jeff's grubby weirdness, finding an odd sweetness underneath the sniffing, the leering, and the general disregard for hygiene or shame. He's the show's proof that background characters can become beloved simply by being consistently, specifically ridiculous rather than generically silly.
