Jaskier

Jaskier is a bard who attaches himself to Geralt of Rivia after a chance tavern meeting, convinced that a witcher's exploits are the stuff of legend. Chatty, vain, and utterly undeterred by rejection, he talks his way into danger and into Geralt's grudging company, determined to turn a reluctant monster-hunter into song.

He's comic relief with real bite: Joey Batey plays the flattery and cowardice broadly enough to be funny, then lets flashes of genuine loyalty and courage slip through underneath. The songs aren't just gags—they're how the show admits that reputation and story matter as much as truth, and Jaskier is their gleeful, self-interested engine.
