Jarl

Jarl is the friend Frank and Casper can never quite measure up to — composed, successful, seemingly effortless in the parts of adult life they keep fumbling. He drifts through their scrapes and schemes as a kind of quiet rebuke, unbothered and faintly amused, the picture of the grown man they're pretending to be.

Playing a version of himself, Jarl Friis-Mikkelsen gets to be the still point the show's chaos crashes against — his calm isn't a joke so much as a mirror held up to Frank and Casper's flailing. The comedy of Klovn depends on that contrast, and Jarl's dry, unbothered presence sells it without ever straining for a laugh.
