Jane "Eleven" Hopper

Found in the woods outside a small Indiana town, shaved-headed and terrified, Eleven speaks little and trusts less. A trio of boys take her in as she flees the lab that raised her, communicating in fragments while nosebleeds signal power she barely understands. She wants friends, waffles, and to not be sent back.

Millie Bobby Brown builds a whole performance out of stillness and wide, watchful eyes, making silence read as depth rather than absence. The show trusts a child actor to carry entire scenes wordlessly, and she repays that trust by turning a girl raised without a name into someone instantly, aching to root for.
