James "Sawyer" Ford

Sawyer arrives on the island already armored in sarcasm, a con man running an old grift even as the plane wreckage still smolders. He hoards supplies, needles his fellow survivors with cruel nicknames, and insists he needs no one — a drawl and a sneer standing in for whatever he's actually protecting underneath.

Holloway plays the swagger so well you almost miss how carefully written the cracks are: a flash of shame here, a flicker of loneliness there, visible just long enough to suggest a real person hiding inside the con. It's a character built on withholding, which makes every small honest moment land like a confession.
