Jacob Snell

Jacob Snell is a Missouri farmer and heroin distributor whose family has quietly controlled the Ozarks poppy trade for generations. Weathered, plain-spoken, and devoutly practical, he sizes up the Byrdes as a threat and a resource in the same breath, treating cartel money as just another crop to be managed on his own terms.

Peter Mullan plays him without a trace of gangster theater — he's a farmer first, and the menace comes from how calmly he talks about killing in the same tone as crop yields. The writing lets him be shrewd rather than volatile, and Mullan's flat, unhurried delivery makes him one of the show's most quietly frightening presences.
