Jack Pearson is the father at the center of the Pearson family, a devoted husband to Rebecca and dad to triplets Kevin, Kate, and adopted son Randall. Introduced across timelines, he's warm, hardworking, prone to grand romantic gestures, and determined to give his kids a happier childhood than his own troubled one.

Ventimiglia plays Jack as almost impossibly good without becoming boring, grounding the show's biggest emotional swings in small, human choices — the way he listens, the way he fixes things.
