Izzy Gould is a brand consultant drafted into the BBC's endless rebranding efforts, all breezy enthusiasm and meaningless jargon. She talks in loops of consultancy-speak, nods along to nonsense as though it's profound, and seems entirely unbothered that nothing she says ever quite means anything.

Lovibond plays the mockumentary's satire of corporate language with total sincerity, which is the joke: Izzy never signals that she knows she's talking gibberish. The writing gives her circular, self-negating sentences, and she delivers them with such sunny confidence that the absurdity lands purely through her commitment.
