Ivan Taylor

Ivan Taylor is one of a group of teenage boys who wash up on a deserted island after their plane goes down, in a survival experiment they don't know they're part of. Openly gay, quick-witted, and pop-culture literate, he processes the disaster through sarcasm, keeping himself protected by staying sharp rather than sincere.

Miles Gutierrez-Riley plays him as the group's necessary irritant, the one who says the mean, true, funny thing everyone else is too polite to say. That defensiveness reads as armor rather than cruelty, and it gives the show one of its few characters whose humor is clearly doing emotional work rather than just lightening scenes.
