Itaru Hashida

Itaru Hashida, known as Daru, is the tech-obsessed member of the Future Gadget Lab, an otaku with genuine hacking chops beneath the perverted jokes and anime chatter. He backs up his friend Okabe's mad-scientist schemes with real technical skill, cracking systems and building gadgets while cracking wise about girls and games.

Tomokazu Seki plays him as pure comic relief who never feels disposable — the show trusts Daru's competence even while mining him for laughs, so when the story needs real hacking done, his goofiness never undercuts the tension. He's proof that a joke character can also be indispensable.
