Inez Wong

Inez Wong is Amy's formidable mother, one half of the wealthy Wong family that owns most of Mars. She swans into her daughter's life with opinions about everyone Amy dates, everything Amy wears, and everything Amy does with her career, delivered in a tone of breezy, moneyed certainty.

Lauren Tom voices her with a clipped, singsong self-satisfaction that makes every put-down sound like a compliment she's doing you a favor by giving. She's a sharp bit of satire on wealth and parental pressure, used sparingly enough that she never overstays her welcome whenever she descends on Amy.
