Ikea Robot

A small furniture-store employee glimpsed in the background of New New York life, the Ikea Robot exists to sell flat-pack home goods with cheerful, sing-song Scandinavian corporate politeness. It greets customers, gestures toward showroom displays, and delivers its sales pitch with the unblinking sincerity of a machine that has never once questioned its job.

The joke is entirely in the voice: Maurice LaMarche layers a lilting, vaguely Swedish chirpiness over a monotone robotic cadence, and the mismatch is what lands. It's a blink-and-you-miss-it bit, but Futurama's world feels denser for having background robots this fully, absurdly committed to their retail personas.
