He appears as exactly what his name says: a husband, one half of a couple caught in the background bustle of New New York. He's not a lead in anyone's story, just a voice adding to the crowded, absurd texture of a future where even minor domestic squabbles play out against robots and spaceships.

Futurama's gift is treating throwaway characters with the same comic commitment as its stars, and Maurice LaMarche brings his usual elastic, theatrical delivery to even a nameless part. It's a small pleasure of the show: no line is too minor to be performed with total conviction.
