Human Friend

A robot who introduces itself with the reassuring, almost aggressive cheerfulness of a product built to be liked, insisting at every turn that it exists only to help. It smiles through gritted circuitry, eager to prove its usefulness, its friendliness feeling less like warmth than a directive it's been given.

John DiMaggio's gravelly, deadpan delivery turns the character's sunny name into a joke in itself — that voice was built for menace and sarcasm, not comfort, so every reassurance sounds like a threat wearing a smile. It's a small, sharp bit of Futurama's usual trick: corporate niceness rendered as something faintly sinister.
