Hugo Turner

Hugo Turner is one of the younger operatives orbiting Carolyn Martens's unit, sharp-suited and self-assured in a way that suggests private school and quiet confidence rather than field experience. He treats the work with a kind of breezy entitlement, more interested in being clever than careful, and doesn't quite know what to make of Eve.

Edward Bluemel plays privilege as comedy without ever making Hugo a pure joke, finding the nervous ego underneath the polish. The show uses him as a needling contrast to the women actually doing the dangerous work, and Bluemel's timing keeps him funny and faintly pathetic at once, never just smug.
