Horrible Gelatinous Blob

He's the star of a black-and-white B-movie the Professor watches on TV, a shapeless, oozing menace narrated in the breathless tones of 1950s creature features. He exists to devour terrified extras and deliver ominous pronouncements about mankind's doom, entirely straight-faced, entirely absurd.

Maurice LaMarche's booming, gravel-voiced delivery nails the exact cadence of vintage monster-movie melodrama, and the joke is that nobody involved seems to notice how ridiculous a sentient blob's grandiose threats sound. It's a tiny, disposable bit that becomes memorable purely through vocal commitment and pitch-perfect parody.
