Holly Harper arrives in the Walker family's orbit as an outsider with an inconvenient history: she was William Walker's mistress for years, and now, after his death, she has a stake in the family business and a daughter who complicates everything further. Patricia Wettig plays Holly without begging for sympathy or courting hatred, which is exactly what makes her compelling — she's neither villain nor victim, just a woman who made choices and lives with them in full view. The writing lets her spar with Nora as an equal, and Wettig gives her real steel under the composure.
Holly Harper is William Walker's mistress of of twenty years and mother of Rebecca Harper. Formerly an actress and sometime painter before using the money William left her in his will to buy into Ojai Foods and then Walker's Landing. When the two companies merged, she was appointed CEO. She is portrayed by Patricia Wettig.
