Holly Flax

Holly is the new HR rep transferred in from the Nashua branch, warm and dorky and instantly delighted by Dunder Mifflin's weirdness rather than baffled by it. She does the goofy voices, plays along with office games, and takes her job seriously enough to actually notice things Toby never did.

The show finally gives Michael a match instead of a foil: someone who finds his bits funny because she has the same unfiltered instinct, not because she's humoring him. Amy Ryan plays that recognition so plainly and happily that it recasts what Michael's loneliness had actually been about.
