Hobsie

Hobsie turns up as one of the many faces populating the fringes of New New York, part of the sprawling background cast that makes Futurama's world feel lived-in rather than staged. He is a small presence rather than a driving one, glimpsed doing ordinary business while the main plot unfolds elsewhere.

The character works less because of any single defining trait and more because Maurice LaMarche brings the same craftsmanship to a bit part that he brings to the show's larger roles, giving Hobsie a distinct voice and texture even in passing.
