Hippie Boy 1

Hippie Boy 1 is a small, scene-dressing role in Futurama's sprawling world of New New York oddballs — a laid-back, counterculture type dropped into a hyper-advanced future where his flower-child affect reads as gently absurd. He drifts through his scene unbothered, more vibe than plot.

The joke is entirely structural: a 1960s stereotype surviving untouched into the year 3000, still saying "far out" among robots and mutants. Tress MacNeille's vocal shading gives the bit its snap, finding a lazy, unbothered cadence that makes the anachronism land without the show needing to explain itself.
