Hip Joint Janitor

A background figure glimpsed sweeping up at the Hip Joint, this janitor exists mostly at the edges of the frame, going about a menial task while the show's main cast bicker and scheme around him. He wants nothing more than to finish the job and be left alone.

John DiMaggio, already doing heavy lifting elsewhere in Futurama's cast, tosses off a bit part like this with the same commitment he gives Bender — a gravelly aside or a single weary line that turns a nothing role into a small, welcome punctuation mark in a busy scene.
