Hillary Banks

Hillary is the Banks family's eldest daughter, a Bel-Air princess with a closet full of designer clothes and no apparent interest in getting a real job. She's vain, image-obsessed, and utterly unbothered by criticism, gliding through the mansion with the airy confidence of someone who has never once doubted her own fabulousness.

Karyn Parsons plays Hillary's shallowness with such total commitment that it becomes its own kind of wit — she delivers vapid one-liners with the timing of someone who knows exactly how funny she is. The show never quite mocks her without affection, letting her ditziness curdle, episode by episode, into a surprisingly sharp comic instrument.
