Hikari Horaki

Hikari Horaki is the class representative at Shinji's school, the organized, dutiful voice keeping order amid air-raid sirens and Angel attacks. Diligent and a little bossy, she takes her responsibilities seriously, fusses over her classmates' behavior, and quickly becomes one of Asuka's closest, most exasperated friends.

She's the show's anchor to ordinary adolescence, proof that homework and crushes and class elections still matter even as the world edges toward apocalypse. Carol Amerson gives her a brisk, warm earnestness that never tips into caricature, so her normalcy reads as its own quiet act of courage rather than comic relief.
