When Hermes finds a way to multiply himself, the result is not one bureaucrat but several, each fussier and more rule-bound than the last. They fill Planet Express with clipboards, forms and competing claims about who ranks highest, turning his tidy efficiency into chaotic, self-important overkill.

Futurama loves pushing a trait until it breaks, and Hermes's love of order is the perfect thing to clone: give him company and he doesn't relax, he escalates. Phil LaMarr keeps every copy speaking in the same clipped, self-satisfied cadence, so the joke is entirely in the multiplication, not the variation.
