Hermaphrobot

Hermaphrobot is one of Futurama's stock background robots, popping up in crowd scenes and odd bit parts around New New York rather than anchoring any single plot. It behaves like any other anonymous mechanical extra in the city, existing mostly as a sight gag and a name that rewards anyone paying close attention to the credits.

The joke is entirely in the deadpan commitment: a whole robot built around one pun, voiced by John DiMaggio with the same gruff nonchalance he gives Bender, so it slots into scenes without ever announcing itself as a joke. Futurama's background is full of these tiny gifts for rewatchers, and Hermaphrobot is a perfect specimen of that generosity.
