Henry Breedlove

Henry Breedlove arrives at the New Burbage Festival as one of its senior leading men, an actor with decades of technique, vanity, and stagecraft behind him. He carries himself like a star even in a company full of them, trading barbs and theories with equal relish, more interested in holding the stage than sharing it.

Geraint Wyn Davies plays him with the exact blend of vanity and genuine craft the show needs to satirize actors without ever condescending to them — Breedlove is ridiculous and completely sincere in the same breath. He's a comic pleasure precisely because the performance never lets you forget there's real talent underneath the preening.
