Healy

Healy is a detective superintendent with the Belfast police, drawn into the hunt for a killer stalking the city alongside the visiting Stella Gibson. Married with children, he carries himself as steady and dependable, a company man used to running his own show — and not entirely comfortable ceding ground to an outsider brought in over his head.

Aidan McArdle plays him with a watchful, contained unease, a man whose professionalism seems solid until you notice how closely he tracks Gibson rather than the case. The writing lets his ordinary domestic decency sit right beside something unspoken and unresolved, so his scenes carry a low hum of tension long before any of it surfaces.
